Kellan Lutz admits filming the 'Twilight' movies can be difficult because they are not ''well oiled'', and found his new movie 'Immortals' ''much more enjoyable''.

Kellan Lutz claims the 'Twilight Saga' movies were not a "well-oiled machine".

The actor - who plays Emmett Cullen in the vampire series - admits he feels "blessed" to have taken part in the franchise, but found new movie 'Immortals' "much more enjoyable" because of the atmosphere on set.

He said: "'Twilight' is kind of crazy. I'm very happy to be a part of them. But the last movie took seven months, and still wasn't a well-oiled machine and it gets kind of tough.

"We're all very blessed and I love the experience. But working with Relativity and doing 'Immortals' was just a world of difference, so much more enjoyable."

Kellan added he particularly enjoyed getting to know his co-stars, including Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke, on the fantasy action film.

He added to The Hollywood Reporter: "Everyone just treated everyone like they were family. It's just a really great experience to enjoy feeling like an equal on the set and it's not a machine, it's a family."

Freida Pinto, Luke Evans and Stephen Dorff also star in the Tarsem Singh-directed film.
