Sasha Grey, the American former porn star who has since turned to mainstream acting and modelling, was photographed reading to a group of first and third grade students earlier this month.

In pictures obtained by Tmz.com, the X-rated star is seen entertaining students with a novel, although it is unclear whether parents of the students attending Emerson Elementary in California were aware Sasha was making an appearance as a guest speaker. The star confirmed the news by tweeting, "Spent the am with Read Across America Compton, reading to the sweetest 1st and 3rd grade students @ Emerson Elementary", however, a representative for the school's district has denied Grey ever made an appearance, saying, "We have several celebrities who read to our students each year.The actress you indicated was not present". According to its Facebook page, the organisation Read Across America is "designed to promote literacy and instil a lifelong love of reading" using "individuals from the fields of entertainment, athletics, business and politics". Despite becoming a huge adult film star , the actress soon turned to serious movies and starred in Steven Soderbergh's 'The Girlfriend Experience'. She also played herself in a guest appearance on award winning television show 'Entourage'.

As well as acting, Sasha is also a member of the band aTelecine and featured in Eminem's music video for 'Space Bound'.

Lady Gaga 's back on fashion form, by which we mean she's back to wearing frankly sense defying outfits, the singer coming back from a couple of relatively low-key outfits to turn heads at the Bambi Awards in Germany. The 25 year-old has recently been in the headlines for more down-to-earth reasons, setting up the 'Born This Way Foundation' to help teens with issues including bullying, and also announcing that a Gaga workshop will open on November 21st 2011 at plush department store Barneys, with 25% of proceeds from the store going towards the charity.

It was back to what she's known best for - well, apart from her singing - that had the star in the headlines this time though. Taking to the red carpet in Germany, she was dressed in a floor length gold dress covered in intricate beads with a feathered cream skirt completing the torso. Sounds pretty odd in itself, but furthermore, Gaga was wearing a somewhat bizarre gold headpiece and intricate eyeliner, leading the UK's Metro newspaper - who reported the story - to liken her to a chocolate wrapper.

The singer performed at the media awards, wearing a rather more toned-down black dress as she showcased her latest single 'Marry The Night', playing a piano designed so as to look like a vintage car. Of course.

Robert Pattinson has given up his dreams of becoming a pop star because he fears he won't be able to deal with the criticism from music experts.

Two of the British star's songs appeared on the first Twilight album and he also contributed three tunes to the soundtrack for the film How to Be, prompting many fans to believe and album would be next - but he insists there are no plans to head into the recording studio anytime soon.

He explains, "Doing movies, I can handle the criticism because you can always blame somebody else. There are hundreds of people to blame. But, with music, as soon as you're putting something out there you're basically only putting an album out there for people to judge it.

"I don't necessarily want people to judge it. Also I know if I had an album out, the day it comes out I'm gonna be on the internet looking at stuff (comments) and I'll probably shoot myself. So I don't know if it's worth shooting myself over."

Actress Holly Marie Combs has filed for divorce from her husband of seven years.

The Charmed star, who wed David Donoho in 2004, is citing irreconcilable differences, according to Tmz.com.

The couple has three children together - Finley, seven, Riley, five, and two-year-old Kelley. Combs is expected to seek joint custody of the kids.

She was previously married to actor Bryan Travis Smith. That union ended in 2007 after four years.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and Atlanta Falcons football player Kroy Biermann exchanged vows in Georgia on Friday (11Nov11).

The TV favourite tells Life & Style magazine, "This has been the happiest day of my life. It's been perfect. It's been a dream come true."

At 34, Zolciak is eight years older than her new husband.

The couple, who became engaged last month (Oct11), has a six-month-old baby.

Zolciak has two daughters from a previous marriage.

Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn have marked the special date of 11-11-11 by renewing their marriage vows in New York.

The couple staged a very private ceremony on the banks of the Hudson River on Friday morning.

Actor O'Connell, who is currently appearing in new play Seminar on Broadway, tells People.com, "A couple of nights ago, I said to Rebecca, 'We should renew our vows at 11:11 and 11 seconds on 11/11.' And she said, 'We should do it at 11th Street and 11th Ave.'"

"I didn't think it was gonna be so emotional, but it kind of was... I think I was more emotional than my wife."

Motorhead have scrapped a second show as frontman Lemmy battles to overcome a mystery hand injury.

The heavy rockers pulled the plug on a show in Bristol, England earlier this week (08Nov11) when Lemmy announced he was unable to play and a second show in Norwich, scheduled for Friday night (11Nov11) has also been axed.

A statement from the band reads, "With regret Motorhead has to cancel the Norwich show tonight due to an injury on Lemmy's left hand. Unfortunately, Lemmy is still not able to play."

At press time a concert at London's Hammersmith Apollo, scheduled for Saturday night (12Nov11), was still on.
