Stone Roses 'To Announce Comeback Tour'
British rockers the Stone Roses will announce plans for a comeback tour next week (begs17Oct11), according to reports.
The Fools Gold hitmakers were said to be reforming earlier this year (11) amid claims frontman Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire had ended their 15-year feud.
A representative for bass player Gary 'Mani' Mounfield dismissed the speculation, but the rumours have refused to die down - and now reports of a comeback tour have emerged, after journalists in the U.K. were alerted to a press conference on Tuesday (18Oct11) which would mark "a very important announcement".
A source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "It has been a tense few months putting the reunion together. A lot of issues had to be resolved and some seriously hard graft (work) has gone on.
"It was political, it was emotional and it was difficult. But time is a great healer and everyone has grown up. The band are determined now to go out and enjoy themselves, give the old fans a great time and pull in a few new ones."
