Jennifer Grey To Replace Len Goodman On 'Strictly'


Jennifer Grey, the American actress who stormed to victory on Dancing With The Stars, is set to become a guest judge on the UK version of the show, 'Strictly Come Dancing'. The 51-year-old will replace head judge Len Goodman for a week while he takes a short break, reports Bbc News.

Grey and partner Derek Hough dominated the 2010 series of the U.S. celebrity dance show, on which Goodman also judges. She will join Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and British singer Alesha Dixon on the UK judging panel. Speaking of her excitement to join the team, Jennifer said, "I so look forward to making the pilgrimage to the birthplace of the greatest dance show, the mecca of spray tans and tangos, and to sit in for the great and pernickety Len Goodman". The veteran head judge has been given time off to recuperate after flying between London and Los Angeles to film both the UK and U.S. version of the show. He said, "The Bbc have kindly agreed to give me a week off to rest". Goodman will return to the UK judging panel on 12th November 2011, on which singer Jason Donovan is the earlier favourite to win.

Grey remains best known for her role as Frances' Baby' Houseman in the classic 1987 dance movie Dirty Dancing.
