Andre Fought Illness To Perform For Schwimmer
Australian singer Peter Andre fought through illness to perform for David Schwimmer and his wife as they renewed their wedding vows last month (Sep11).
The former Friends star married Zoe Buckman in 2010, but they said 'I Do' again after the birth of their daughter Cleo this spring (11).
The couple asked Andre to sing at the ceremony in London, as Zoe is a big fan of his music, but Andre admits he almost axed the gig because of throat problems.
He says, "I got there and said to Claire my manager: 'I don't know what I'm going to do.' So I talked. I was a bit scared. I thought I'd rather not do it. So I sung the verses, I wasn't going to risk it."
Andre is still suffering issues with his throat and is worried he may have to undergo surgery to fix his damaged vocal cords.
He tells Britain's Daily Star, "I've got a lesion, which I'm not happy about. I've been struggling through but I'm gutted. I don't want to disappoint my fans. That being there means things are more difficult for me to sing.
"If I end up having an operation I don't know what will happen. It takes six weeks to recover and then we'll see. I'm going to keep going. I'll do my best."
